60 000 visitors to the Bible Centre
Together with his class Priest Markus Gerhold travelled all the way from Steyr in Upper Austria to visit the Bible Centre. He is the 60000th visitor of the Bible Centre in Vienna since the opening in spring 2005.
In the Bible Centre the class learns all about the history and meaning of the Bible. Furthermore they can taste the good Biblical Buffet.
“Because the experts of the Bible are here”
“We came here, because we had just gone through the basics about the Bible in class and because the experts of the Bible are here.
For me it is important that the students can understand the Bible in the context of how the media developed. And that they understand what triggered the development of the Bible and what impact it has.
I studied with the Stefan Haider who led the workshop and know that he is funny and can tell stories well. He does the tours in the Bible Centre with humour and fills them with life.

“I was positively surprised!”
“When you hear the word Bible museum, you think that it will not be so exciting. I pictured myself a dark room with long texts on boards and a boring presentation. But it was not boring at all. It was all very interesting.

“Even though I knew a lot about the Bible already, there was some new information from a scientific point of view. The atmosphere in the Bible Centre is pleasant. I like it here.”
